Report in prior to racing. DO NOT USE TEXTS TO REPORT IN.

A competing boat shall “report in” after leaving the dock and before the race, but not prior to 1715, to be scored for that race. Boats may ‘report in’ by radio to the Race Committee using VHF Channel 80 or by sailing by the stern of the committee boat and hailing the R/C. Boats must provide their sail number and declaration of their class choice (Main and Jib or Spinnaker). Upon hearing their sail number repeated by the Race Committee will have “reported in". Boats failing to properly "report in" may be scored DNC .This changes RRS Appendix A11 (DNC). The penalty for a breach of this rule may, at the discretion of the protest committee, be less than disqualification.
