. Jack Kitrenos is retiring as editor of the e-news. A successor is being sought. There is a new format for the Single and Double Handed races this year. The races will run concurrently. On each of the four Friday evenings, competitors will choose to race either single handed or double handed and will also choose either spinnaker or JAM. Scoring will be based on the best 3 races in each of the 4 possible fleets. Wednesday Sailing Instruction Notes: - Competitors will be informed of changes to the SI's by mail. These changes will also be noted on the website and by email when possible, but the official notice of change is by mail.
- The need for valid PHRF certificates will be strictly enforced. (5.5)
- The starting sequence changes with each series. (7.2, 7.3, 7.4)
- There are new "W" courses. The old "E" and "W" courses from 2012 are no longer applicable. (8.4)
- There is a new "N" mark. Its location is specified in the SI's. (9.0)
- If conditions warrant, there may be a change of course after the start for the spinnaker fleets. Such a change would be implemented according to the racing rules. (11.1)

The Island Yacht Club in Wilson, NY has graciously offered members of BHSC reciprocal privileges at their facilities on Lake Ontario. A letter to that effect is available in the "Documents" section of this website. It can also be accessed by clicking here. Note that the letter refers to a "card". The card was not received but we're sure a copy of the letter will suffice. |
